How to Unlock Bootloader of OnePlus 5 👍👍

Hello guys, I am back with another useful post about how to unlock bootloader of OnePlus 5, so as we all know OnePlus has just launched its new flagship killer phone OnePlus 5, this device is mostly a camera centric phone, apart from that phone also comes with the latest Snapdragon Flagship processor 835, which is an Octa-Core CPU, supporting RAM upto 8 GB, having Dual Rear Camera setup to take very clear and depth images and has 16 Megapixel Front facing camera, a 3300 mAh battery with Dash charge which let your OnePlus device charged for a day in just half an hour, as per company says.

Now just move on to the topic How to Unlock Bootloader on OnePlus 5

Before we start make sure to backup all your data and apps (images, videos, songs etc), because this process may erase your data, so backup first.

Enable On Screen Button on OnePlus 5

Now Go to Your OnePlus 5 Settings >> About Phone >> Now Tap on Build Number 7 times to enable developer options.

Now go back and open the Developer Options >> Enable OEM Unlocking also Enable Advanced Reboot and Enable USB Debugging.

Once you have done that press the power button, Select Reboot and select Bootloader so that the OnePlus will boot into Bootloader mode.

Now Connect Your Device with PC/Laptop using the Original USB Type C Cable.

Now You have to Download the latest ADB Folder named - Platform-tools-latest-windows folder on Your Laptop/PC, Download it From Here and put in into the C:\\ of your computer, Now Extract This Platform-tools-latest-windows folder, Now You will get one more folder with the same, open that folder and you will be able to see some files and folder there.

Now be on that Folder (Where some files and Folder are) and Press the Shift Key along with the Right Click on Your Mouse (at some empty space on that folder).

Now you will see some options, Click on Open Command Window here, or Open PowerShell Window Here (on Windows 10 only), after this one command window will be popping up to your screen.

Now Type the Command to ensure that our OnePlus 5 is connected or not, the command is

fastboot devices

And hit enter.

After this you will see some random string on that command window that means your OnePlus 5 is recognized by the PC,

Now type the below command to unlock the Bootloader of OnePlus 5, the command is:

fastboot oem unlock

And hit enter it will be completed within seconds, now look at your device, you will be asked that Unlock Bootloader? so you have to choose Yes, Use Volume up and Volume Down Button to Highlight the Options and Press Power Button For OK.

It will wipe your Data from the Device and bootloader will be unlocked for your OnePlus 5.
