So Guys Today i am going to flash TWRP Custom Recovery on my POCO X2 and you can also flash it if you want to flash any custom rom or MIUI BETA ROMs, so i am not going to add too much of blah blah kind of details and going to tell you the steps to flash TWRP on your poco x2.
Requirements:
Your device bootloader should be unlocked
Download & install ADB Drivers on your PC Here is the Guide
You need to download the ADB folder (Platform Tools) then unzip it and then copy the platform tools folder to your desktop.
oh yeah you do require a PC to flash a custom recovery
and finally download the TWRP recovery file from here
Steps:
pick up your POCO X2 and go into settings > about phone >and click on MIUI version many time until you get a message saying "you are a developer now"
now go back and go to additional setting and then scroll down to go into the developers option
now scroll down a bit and enable the USB debugging option, (allow the popup too)
now boot your device into fastboot mode by pressing power+volume down key at the same time for upto 5 seconds, (fastboot mode me ek rabbit ka symbol aayega :P)
and now connect your poco x2 via USB C cable (off-course) to your Laptop/PC
Now i am assuming that you have download the ADB folder and setup the ADB drivers on your PC
Extract the ADB folder and paste the extracted ADB folder to your desktop
now copy the download TWRP recovery file and paste it inside the ADB folder
now withing the ADB folder press and hold Shift key on your PC and press right click (on an empty space of the screen)
now click on Open Powershell window (on windows 10) or command window (on windows 7/8)
it will open a command/powershell window on your PC
now type fastboot devices and press enter
if it shows a random string on the next line then it's ok your devices has been detected by the pc, but if it does not display anything, then you will have to properly setup ADB drivers.
so i am assuming that your device has been detected by the PC, so we are going with second command which is to flash the TWRP custom Recovery on your POCO X2.
Now Run : fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and hit enter (it will flash the twrp recovery on your poco x2 and display you the success message)
NOTE: on the above step we have used the command fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (but if you found a twrp recovery file with different name, then you will have to change the recovery name within command accordingly)
suppose you have got a twrp recovery with the name twrp-3.3.1-0 then your command would be : fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.1-0
now in the next step we will boot into the twrp recovery to flash any custom rom or anything, so you can do it right now, by running one more command.
run this command to boot into twrp recovery : fastboot boot twrp.img and hit enter, now your device will boot into twrp custom recovery.
