The Telecom Providers are all set to provide National Mobile Number Portability (MNP), by 3rd July'15.National Mobile Number Portability is offer to subscribers to retain their same mobile no. anywhere within India.
So if you Going to stay outside of your telecom circle and not want to change your old mobile no. then you can Port it by the steps i am going to describe below.
Both Pre-Paid and Postpaid customers will avail National MNP.
Follow these steps to Port Your Mobile Number Nationwide.
First of all you have to send a SMS from which no. you want to Port. just type : PORT<your mobile no> and send it to 1900,
For Example :PORT 9888998899 and send it to 1900.
Then you will Receive an UPC, Subsequently visit the providers outlet and fill up the CAF and submit your documents.and let them to process your request.it will take maximum 7 working days to be Ported.
